Details Work in a newly opened NICU (6 beds) at a hospital facility Patient ratio of approximately 3:1 with a minimum of 2 NICU RNs per shift 24/7 in-house Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, OB hospitalist, and anesthesiologist coverage Uses GE bedside monitors and beds (Giraffe and Panda Warmers), Natus Neoblue phototherapy lights, and Neomed and Medfusion feeding/medication pumps Documentation via Meditech and CPN systems Schedule consists of 3x12-hour shifts, days (7A-7P) Weekend rotation required every other weekend Floating to Newborn Nursery as needed No call requirements Requirements Active TX or compact RN license required (temporary license not accepted) Current BLS and NRP certifications required STABLE certification required Minimum 2 years of hospital/specialty NICU experience required Experience caring for infants requiring CPAP or ventilation preferred Experience with central lines preferred Stabilization experience and attending deliveries preferred Developmental care experience preferred US SSN and DOB required for consideration No gaps in work history of 90 days within the past 12 months Additional Information Assist with line placement, circumcision, and intubation procedures Provide family-centered care to neonatal patients Newly opened service line featuring top-of-the-line equipment Join a collaborative team of skilled and experienced nurses Royal blue scrubs required per facility dress code (purchased from Scrubs and Beyond) Nail, hair, tattoo, and piercing policies apply per facility guidelines No perfumes or lotions permitted Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, no local candidates accepted American Traveler Job ID P-747924.
