Exciting Opportunity for RN NICU in Frisco, TX Job Description: - Unit: NICU (675) - Shift: 7A-7P - Assignment Length: 13 weeks - Guaranteed Hours: 36 - Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend - Call Requirements: No on-call necessary - Patient Ratios: Estimated 3:1 - Number of Beds: 6 - Staffing: Minimum of 2 NICU RNs per shift - In-House Coverage: 24/7 Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, OB hospitalist, and anesthesiologist available About the Unit: - Work with the latest top-of-the-line equipment: - GE Bedside Monitors - Giraffe and Panda Warmers - Natus Neoblue phototherapy lights - Neomed and Medfusion Feeding/Medication pumps - Documentation systems: Meditech and CPN - Enjoy a collaborative and supportive team environment Required Qualifications: - Must Have: - BLS Certification - NRP Certification - STABLE Certification - 2 Years of Hospital/Specialty Experience - Preferred Skills: - Care for infants requiring CPAP or Ventilation - Experience with Central Lines - Stabilization experience/attending deliveries - Developmental care experience Unit Procedures: - Assist with line placement - Assist with circumcision - Assist with intubation Dress Code: - Royal Blue Medical City Healthcare Scrubs (purchased from Scrubs and Beyond) - Clean and healthy nails; no nail polish or artificial nails - Hair must be neat and clean; no extreme styles/colors allowed - Tattoos should be covered when possible - No visible piercings other than ears - No perfumes or lotions Additional Information: - Float to Newborn Nursery as needed - Attendance policy in accordance with company-wide standards Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol): At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
