Job Opportunity: Emergency Medicine Physician

Our organization is on the lookout for a Board Certified or Board Eligible physician trained in Emergency Medicine, specifically an ABEM-certified individual, to become a part of our Emergency Medicine Department. We operate as a teaching hospital, comprising UHS Wilson Medical Center, recognized as a Level II Trauma Center and designated Stroke Center, alongside UHS Binghamton General Hospital, a comprehensive facility that includes a designated Crisis Center. Together, these hospitals manage approximately 60,000 emergency department visits annually, with two teams serving both locations situated about seven miles apart.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients.
• Engage in teaching opportunities for residents and medical students from Upstate Medical University in Syracuse.
• Participate in clinical research initiatives.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine.
• ABEM certification preferred.

This position is based in Binghamton, NY, which is conveniently located 2.5 hours north of New York City and 1 hour south of Syracuse. Compensation and Benefits

The role offers a competitive starting salary of $499,200, along with an attractive sign-on bonus, annual bonus incentives, relocation assistance, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes a robust retirement plan.

Established in 1981 through the merger of three community hospitals, our organization employs over 6,000 individuals. As a teaching hospital affiliated with SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse and the Binghamton University Health Sciences Center, we train more than 100 physicians annually through our residency and fellowship programs.
