This position is accountable to business leaders for delivering business outcomes that are dependent on people adopting solutions successfully.Defines and delivers robust change management strategies, approaches and plans for multiple engagements that can cross functional boundariesApplies Prosci methodology, tools and approaches to internal client team members, providing coaching on usage as needed; uses instruments and tools to describe and plan change impacts on multiple engagements and customizes approach and methodology based on previous change impacts and prior experienceDetermines contributing factors to strong sponsorship, coaches and supports sponsors on expected behaviors and becomes primary contact for sponsorsExecutes and manages change management scope for large scale programs and projects, including sponsorship, coaching, communications, training and resistance management plansArticulates, envisions and creates desired patterns in human dynamics (behaviors, mindsets and culture)Integrates change management with project management and influences successful mitigation strategiesDevelops organizational best practicesIntegrates success measures, metrics and monitoring across multiple initiatives in a programResponsibilities Develops change management programs to solve complex business group or company issuesFinds innovative solutionsCoaches and advises sponsorsAnticipates internal and/or external business challenges and needsProvides advice and technical expertise to other organizations/groups and/or executive management in the area of change managementRequired/Basic Qualifications Bachelors degree AND six (6) years related work experienceIn lieu of Bachelors degrees AND 6 years related work experience listed above, High School/GED AND 10 years related work experienceDesired Qualifications Masters degree AND eight (8) years related work experienceCertified Change Management ProfessionalAdditional Preferred QualificationsDemonstrated strong leadership skills: negotiation, conflict management skills, influencing skills, ability to give and receive positive and constructive feedbackDemonstrated ability to communicate a vision and obtain buy-inAbility to adapt and changes as business needs changeAbility to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentExperience with large-scale change initiatives; experience providing oversight to contingent workersExperience working with agile teams, approaches and toolsCompetency in one or more complementary disciplines such as project management, Agile, innovation, design thinking, customer experience, training, communication, digital transformationExperience in supplier contract managementComfort with complexity, ambiguity and changeExperience with leadership meeting preparation and support.Experience with employee engagement responsibility.Working ConditionsHybrid Mobility Classification – Work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period. However, hybrid employees must live within a reasonable commute to their designated Duke Energy facility, not greater than 50 miles one way.
