Field Service TechnicianJoin our team as a Field Service Technician, working on-site at the TSMC location in North Phoenix. This role involves no travel and provides a unique opportunity to interact professionally with both external and internal customers. You'll work under the direction of a Technical Service Engineer, focusing on the pre-assembly, mechanical build, and maintenance of automated material handling systems and conveyor equipment used in the semiconductor industry. This is a contract-to-hire position offering long-term stability, hands-on technical work, and growth within a high-tech semiconductor environment.ResponsibilitiesPerform routine installations and maintenance on assigned products.Utilize corporate processes to locate software revisions and appropriate documentation.Verify software status and perform log analysis of system errors to determine issues.Troubleshoot both hardware and software effectively.Serve as a liaison between the customer and company engineering for daily site operations.Prepare and submit necessary paperwork with supervision.Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on complex automated equipment.Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, identifying root causes of failures.Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment safely and effectively.Support warehouse-based staging, kitting, and equipment preparation activities.Document work performed, maintenance actions, and issues per established procedures.Follow safety, quality, and cleanliness standards in a semiconductor environment.Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other technicians to support operational goals.Provide shift hand-off communication for front-end and back-end day shift coverage.Essential Skills1–3+ years of experience in mechanical assembly, maintenance, or field service involving conveyors.Experience with conveyors, automated equipment, or material handling systems.Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting abilities.Ability to read and follow mechanical drawings, SOPs, and technical documentation.Comfortable working in a warehouse or industrial environment.Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.Additional Skills & QualificationsSemiconductor industry experience is preferred.Experience with automated material handling systems (AMHS) is advantageous.Exposure to electrical, pneumatic, or electromechanical systems.Previous contract or contract-to-hire experience in an industrial setting.Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints, identifying components.A valid Driver's License is required.Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a warehouse and equipment staging environment supporting semiconductor operations. The position operates on a compressed workweek schedule, alternating between 3 and 4 days of work each week, with overtime available. Employees must adhere to strict safety and quality standards, with PPE required, including hard hats, steel-toe boots, and protective eyewear. Work involves proximity to moving mechanical parts and electrical systems, with occasional exposure to hazardous conditions. The noise level is moderate, and employees should be comfortable working in confined spaces. The physical demands include climbing ladders, lifting/moving up to 50 pounds, and specific vision abilities. Appropriate attire includes jeans and a polo shirt. Initial training involves travel to Oregon for the first two weeks, and a shift differential is provided for night shifts.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Phoenix, AZ.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $60320.00/yr.
