# Area Maintenance SpecialistApplylocations: Store 2746478 Lakeland MN: Store 2746476 Prescott WI: Store 2746135 Faribault MN: Store 2746484 Hastings MN: Store 2746060 Northfield MNtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todaytime left to apply: End Date: August 14, 2026 (29 days left to apply)job requisition id: R604734Northern Tier BU - Region 07 - Market 01: 280 St. Croix Trail S, Lakeland, Minnesota 55043# **Shift Availability**Days (Weekdays + Weekend Availability Required)**Time Type**Full timeESSENTIAL DUTIES:*The position includes, but is not limited to, the following essential job duties, responsibilities, and requirements:** Perform regular preventative and unscheduled/emergency maintenance on a variety of equipment associated with the production area.* Keep equipment parts inventory list, order replacement parts as necessary.* Detect and notify the Production Supervisor or Production Manager of questionable conditions and/or equipment that is not working properly.* Work with outside vendors as necessary.* Perform maintenance of building and grounds as directed.* Perform other duties as assigned by management.* Perform all duties in compliance with USDA or FDA, OSHA and state and local regulations and company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and the use of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).JOB REQUIREMENTS:* High School diploma or GED.* A two-year degree or completion of a program in mechanical or industrial maintenance a plus.* 5 + years’ manufacturing experience with strong skills in equipment repair and maintenance.* Must be 18 years of age or older.* Must possess knowledge of the following: machine repair, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, painting and janitorial skills.* Required to be familiar with and use the hand tools and power tools necessary to perform those skills.* Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controls (PLC).* Have the ability to comprehend verbal instructions and read and interpret machine specs, instruction manuals and product labels.* Be reliable and dependable; available to work Monday through Friday and occasionally Saturday or Sunday as directed by management.* Have a high level of job motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
