Location 2201 West Desert Cove, Phoenix, AZ, 85029, United States Other Compensation G23 Relocation Expense Covered Yes Employee Type FT Exempt Required Degree 4 Year Degree Manage Others No Overview PING, Inc is seeking a Customization Operations Manager that will be responsible for owning the end-to-end operations that enables customized soft goods to be manufactured accurately, efficiently, and at scale with PING’s onsite manufacturing operations. This role will provide clear ownership of customization workflows, capacity planning, prioritization and execution, ensuring alignment between sales demand, customization preparation, and manufacturing throughput. This position requires the candidate to reside in the Phoenix Metro Area, relocation assistance will be provided. You Will Oversee the full Customization life cycle from order intake to final manufacturing execution. Define and document process ownership, handoffs, and accountability across Sales, Customization Coordinators, and Process Engineering through comprehensive process flow mapping. Develop common language and business process structure to ensure customization requests are prioritized, scheduled, and executed in alignment with manufacturing capacity. Partner closely with Director of Manufacturing to align customization demand with onsite manufacturing capabilities and constraints. Facilitate capacity planning for embroidery and customization operations, including workload balancing and resource utilization. Identify operational bottlenecks and lead initiatives to improve throughput, consistency, and scalability using a digitizing software, and Ping’s integrated software. Establish and maintain documentation standards for artwork, digitizing, approvals, specifications, and version control. Reduce rework errors through clear process design, error proofing, and continuous improvement. Serve as primary point of contact between Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Soft Goods, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and IS/IT for all soft goods customization efforts. Be responsible for identifying new technologies that will streamline manufacturing processes and ensure efficiency and accuracy of customized orders. Troubleshoot technical issues and train staff as needed. You Have Bachelor’s degree from a properly accredited college or university, plus a minimum five years’ in manufacturing operations, customization, product operations, or project management; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience with soft goods customization is required. Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and team skills with the proven ability to build consensus. Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, manage and participate in cross-disciplinary business meetings and training sessions. Strong organization, time management and recordkeeping skills. Demonstrated ability to coordinate a very high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints. Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and keep up with the administrative requirements of the position. Possess an advanced level of computer literacy in Wilcom, Corel Draw and Microsoft Office: TEAMS, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Proficiency with new design, digitizing, and manufacturing software. Familiar with PING product line, the game of golf and the golf industry.
