Join us as we take flight!**External candidates eligible for $3,500 sign on bonus**What You Will DoPerform machine setup and runs on surface grinders and millsRead, interpret and comprehend, process prints, engineering and quality standards, and other informational drawings and work instructions.Monitor tooling for wear and usage, changing and setting tools as needed.Monitor part specific dimensional tolerances while performing the operation & identify non-conforming part featuresMaintain accurate documentation and system inputs (shop traveler, labor charging, production tracking software, inspection results, etc.)Identify and report process inefficiencies, machine issues, and improvement opportunitiesFollow work priorities to accomplish production goalsCan handle contact with coolants, cleaning fluids, and oils (petroleum based products) and chemical vapors from products during the normal manufacturingObtain and maintain required Inspection Certification(s)Additional responsibilities and duties as assigned3rd shift: Sunday – Thursday, 11:00 pm – 07:00 amWhat You Will LearnPrecision surface grinding and other CNC equipment operation as requiredCross-functional collaboration through various types of manufacturing and processes.Gain experience with inspection equipment.Qualifications You Must HaveTypically requires HS diploma or equivalent and minimum of two years experience.Basic math skills, including adding and subtracting decimalsBasic computer skills and ability to learn and use multiple computer applications (including email, internet, and other job-specific applications).Experience with measurement equipment, i.e. gauges, calipers, etc.Experience with basic hand tools.Experience reading, interpreting, and following blueprints.Qualifications We PreferExperience setting up and operating CNC mills and grindersExperience maintaining tight tolerances (< 0.0005")At Collins, the paths we pave together lead to limitless possibility.
