Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Customer Service Patrol in Romeoville, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will deliver welcoming customer service while communicating professionally with visitors and team members. Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail areas, receiving and shipping spaces, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and delivery activity while reporting unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
