Additional career opportunities are available upon conclusion of a successful internship.The Otis Manufacturing Engineering Interns will assist with multiple projects in the Manufacturing Department that will provide the intern with an introduction to Manufacturing Engineering functions and continuous improvement initiatives. The intern will engage with a wide variety of stakeholders within the Otis Elevator organization while developing project management & customer service skills.Essential ResponsibilitiesSupport new programs/products through production and ensure products meet cost, delivery, and customer/internal specifications requirements including coordinating efforts with product, manufacturing, and quality engineeringAbility to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and work instructionsIdentify all tools and fixtures required to manufacture the product to specificationsEnsure a safe working environment is set and maintainedDevelop, design, acquire or create new equipment for improved productivity, efficiency, and safetyDevelop excellent documentation of processes and follow change management processes when changes occurUtilize Lean principles to set up and improve work cellEducation / CertificationsCurrently pursuing an undergraduate degree in engineeringBasic QualificationsAbility to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environmentCandidate must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skillsNeeds to be self-motivated and able to manage several simultaneous projects and responsibilitiesExcellent analytical skills and technical skills are requiredThe hourly range for this role is $25/hr to $29/hr. We may pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may change in the future.
