Obstetrics And Gynecology Physician

The Physician will specialize in obstetrics and gynecology and will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality medical care to our patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in obstetrics and gynecology, excellent clinical skills, and a commitment to promoting women's health and well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Provide comprehensive medical care to female patients, including adolescents, adults, and seniors. Perform routine obstetric and gynecological examinations, screenings, and diagnostic tests to assess women's health status and detect potential health issues. Diagnose and treat various obstetric and gynecological conditions, including but not limited to prenatal care, menstrual disorders, reproductive health issues, menopause symptoms, and gynecological cancers.
• Obstetric Care: Provide prenatal care to pregnant patients, including prenatal screenings, ultrasounds, and monitoring of fetal development. Manage labor and delivery, including performing vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and other obstetric procedures as needed. Provide postpartum care to mothers and newborns, including monitoring recovery, addressing postpartum concerns, and providing breastfeeding support.
• Gynecological Care: Perform gynecological procedures and surgeries, such as colposcopy, hysteroscopy, endometrial biopsy, and minimally invasive surgeries (e.g., laparoscopy, hysterectomy). Provide counseling and education to patients regarding contraceptive options, family planning, and reproductive health choices.
• Health Promotion and Education: Educate patients about preventive healthcare measures, lifestyle modifications, and screenings to promote overall health and wellness. Address women's health concerns, provide guidance on health maintenance, and encourage healthy lifestyle behaviors.
• Collaboration and Consultation: Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members, including midwives, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and other specialists, to provide coordinated and comprehensive care to patients. Consult and collaborate with specialists as needed for complex medical cases or specialized care.
• Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters, medical histories, diagnostic tests, treatment plans, and prescriptions in electronic health records (EHR) systems. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, standards of practice, and ethical guidelines in all patient care activities.

Requirements:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
• Residency training in obstetrics and gynecology (OBGYN) from an accredited residency program.
• Board certification or board eligibility in obstetrics and gynecology.
• Current, unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of Arizona or eligible to obtain a license in the state of Arizona.
• DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances.
• Strong clinical skills and experience in providing obstetric and gynecological care.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and clinical judgment skills.
