You will leverage your technical knowledge, expertise and experience to support the IOC in keeping the operations running smoothly and making the best possible decisions to get our customers to their destinations as close to schedule as possible.What you'll doResponsible for technical excellence of a major product or product group.Responsible for creating detailed designs, defining patterns, coding key components, troubleshooting technical issues, securing, modernizing, refactoring and technical debt reduction.Responsible for elevating team’s technical maturity in design, testing, availability, security and other non-functionals….Responsible for product/product group and technical stakeholder management.Risk Management: Identify and mitigate IT risks, ensuring compliance with security standards and regulations.Innovation: Drive innovation within the organization by exploring new technologies and implementing solutions that improve efficiency and drive business value.Communication: Effectively communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders, facilitating understanding and buy-in for IT initiatives.Strategic Planning: Develop and execute IT strategies aligned with business objectives, ensuring technology initiatives support organizational goals.Mentors product and portfolio developers All you'll need for successMinimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job ExperienceBachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or equivalent experience8 years of application systems development experience5 years architectural and design experiencePreferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job ExperienceMaster's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline5 years of technical or team leadership experience2+ years' experience in Agile methodology2+ years' experience in DevOps deployment processes1+ years’ Palantir development/enablement experience Airline industry experience Skills, Licenses & CertificationsBackground in Enterprise/Solutions Architecture or software engineeringCommand of architecture, design patterns and business processesMastery of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplinesKnowledge of industry wide technology trends and best practicesExpertise in working in in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative cultureExperienced in technology transformations and migration to one or more Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP or OCIStrong technical leader able to drive to outcomes and mentor delivery teamsHands-on experience with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) tools and platformsHands-on experience with containers and container orchestration platforms (aka Docker & Kubernetes)Expertise in one or more cloud native relational databases such as MySql, PostgreSql and NoSQL databases such as Cassandra and MongoDB highly desiredDemonstrated track record in building platforms and tools that accelerate technology transformationsExpertise with databases and migration to/from enterprise class databases highly desiredWhat you'll getFeel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer: Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
