Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position requiring RCIS certification and a FL or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Cath Lab unit of an acute care hospital with 210 staffed beds
• Perform a wide range of technical skills across Interventional Cardiovascular, Electrophysiology, and Interventional Radiology procedures
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• No weekend requirement
• No floating required
• On-call required with a rotation of 15 days per month plus every third weekend
• Uses Meditech version 6.08 charting system

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and RCIS
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in specialty required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Meditech charting system experience required
• Proficient in angiography, preparation, assessment, documentation, and monitoring for cardiovascular procedures
• Skilled in procedures including cardioversion, sheath removal, vascular closure systems, and 12-lead EKG/ECG
• Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures such as diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, PCI, and TAVR preferred
• Experience with electrophysiology procedures such as cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, and pacemaker insertion preferred

Additional Information

• Provide efficient, comfortable, and safe examination of patients undergoing cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedures
• Follow policies, procedures, and processes of the Cardiovascular Services department and Hospital Administration
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• RTO limited to no more than 10 days and requires an additional 2 weeks added to the assignment
• No RTO allowed during the first or last week of the assignment
• Local candidates accepted if living 30 miles or more from the facility
