Project ManagerDematic has an immediate need for a Project Manager to support the continual growth of the Modifications and Upgrades business. The Dematic Project Manager is the primary point of contact for the customer during project execution. This role works directly with customers to ensure deliverables fall within the scope, budget and schedule and meet customer expectations. The Project Manager is responsible for coordination and communication with project teams to complete multiple projects on time, within scope and budget. Project teams include customers, electrical/controls/mechanical/software engineers, manufacturing, vendors, electrical and mechanical installation crews, sub-contractors and integrator partners. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.What You Will Do In This Role:Lead 3 to 5 projects at a time of differing scopes of average complexity at various end customer locationsDevelop and maintain customer valued relationshipsManage the transition from Sales to Operations and lead the Project Kickoff MeetingsReview project contract requirementsDevelop and maintain a project schedule that is communicated internally and externally to ensure tasks are achieved on time according to planMeet with Engineering managers to assign resourcesWork with Procurement to issue and manage vendors and subcontractsWork with customer, project teams and integrator partner to establish project milestones, billable deliverables and invoicing scheduleMaintain consistent communications with the customer on project statusConduct regular project design review and status update meetingsIdentify and manage project risks with actionable mitigation strategiesForecast monthly costs for revenue recognition, ensure timely and accurate invoicing, analyze project profitability and report out status on a regular basisProvide direction to the project team including assignment of individual responsibilities, tasks and technical functionsProvide direction to sub-contractors as necessary to coordinate their work along with Dematic team membersCoordinate the shipment and verification of materials to the project sitesSecure permits as neededTravel to project sites to meet with the customer and project team, get status updates, coordinate activities and provide directionGenerate implementation, testing, acceptance and go-live plansEffectively communicate issues, develop resolution and negotiate Change Orders when necessaryManage as built documentation completion and delivery to customerEnsure complete project financial closeout and turnover to support organizationAttend weekly staff meetings and one on one meetings as well as other regularly scheduled department meetingsComplete annual training and certification requirementsWhat We Are Looking For :Degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience.Basic understanding of Mechanical systems of material handling equipment (total facility flow through the sub-systems and operations), basic understanding of Controls5 to 7 years of professional experience and 3+ years of successful experience in project managementAble to multi-task and work in a high-growth, fast-paced and deadline driven environment successfully.Willingness to travel for business within the continental US and Canada from 35% to 50%Willingness to travel over weekendsExcellent interpersonal, organizational and verbal and written communication skills.High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite; Proficiency in Microsoft Project.Ability to interpret mechanical / electrical drawings and schematicsPMP Certification PreferredExperience in the logistics or manufacturing/automation industries is a plus but not required
