About the Position

Job Title: Radiology Technician Profession: Clinical-Allied Specialty: Radiology Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 2x12 Third Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7:30 PM to 8 AM on Saturday/Sunday) Experience: Less than one (1) year required License: Current Clienttion License Certifications: BLS, ARRT Registry in Radiography RT(R) required Must-Have: - Outstanding verbal and written communication skills - Great interpersonal skills - Outstanding eye-hand coordination - Ability to operate all equipment related to the job - Attention to detail - Excellent customer service and communication skills - Ability to foster a cooperative work environment Description: Provides health care services applying pulsed x-ray energy to assist diagnosis or treatment. Performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, computer processing, and related techniques. Produces images for the interpretation by or at the request of a licensed independent practitioner. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of service and maintains a demeanor in line with medical ethics. Recognizes various patient conditions to provide appropriate patient care to ensure successful completion of the exam or procedure. Key Responsibilities: Enforces hospital policies and maintains departmental efficiency and proficiency. Maintains a cohesive working relationship and spirit of cooperation with coworkers and other employees. Sets a positive example for staff through professional knowledge, appearance, personal conduct, and interactions. Implements hospital policies and guidelines and proactively plans daily patient flow and staff schedule. Assists with staff selection, training, and competency, and provides supervision and instruction to imaging students. Produces quality images for Radiologist review and ensures images are archived properly. Completes warm-up and quality control on equipment, orders and restocks supplies, and reports equipment malfunctions. Verifies orders, patient name/birth date, and history. Documents all incidents related to patient care in the electronic health record. Monitors patients throughout the exam and utilizes radiation protection for both patients and self. Assists Radiologists and authorized providers with exams and procedures as necessary.
