Job Details:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, specifically in a telemetry or intermediate care setting.

Shift Information:

• Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
• Weekend Coverage: Every Other Weekend
• Floating: Required to ICU or Medical-Surgical units

Patient Care:

• Patient Ratios:
  • Days: 1:3
  • Nights: 1:4
  • Weekends: 1:3
• Daily Census: 17 patients
• Number of Beds: 18
• Patient Age Groups: Adults and Geriatrics

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse License (NY) - Must have license in hand
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Experience in charting with Epic system is mandatory
• Certifications:
  • BLS and NIHSS (required)
  • ACLS (preferred)
• Previous charge experience is preferred

Required Skills:

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Management of dysrhythmias and emergency responses
• IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration
• Central and peripheral line care and management
• Patient care for various complex diagnoses, particularly pulmonary patients

Professional Topics and Skills:

• Isolation Precautions and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Wound care management, including wound vacs
• Management of complex nutritional needs, including feeding tube care
• Continuous bladder irrigation and pre/post hemodialysis management

Interdisciplinary Support:
