Packaging Technician

Packaging Technician PositionTrillium is looking for an experienced Packing Technician to join our Production team. This is an amazing opportunity to join a rapidly expanding, family-run brewery and bring your expertise into the world of craft beer! This position will report directly to the Packaging Supervisor at our Canton location.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesSet up, operate, and clean bottle, can and keg packaging line equipmentPackage finished product into containers (cans, bottles and kegs)Communicate and coordinate with others to hand stack cases at discharge of packersOperate powered industrial trucks as needed to transport finished productRecord production data and quality control data for each packaging runEnsure all packaging materials are staged to meet production needs dailyPerform cleaning and maintenance of packaging equipment including CIPCross train in other production areas and maintain a clean workspace throughoutWork with the Facilities team to troubleshoot issues with machines to minimize downtimeAdhere to Trillium's strict Quality Control practicesAdditional duties may be assigned as necessary.Desired Qualifications & AbilitiesQualifications & ExperiencePackaging line experience preferredForklift experience preferred and Trillium will provide trainingKnowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesHave a passion for quality beer and workmanshipAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to take on tasks outside the scope of the Packaging positionAbility and desire to work a flexible scheduleMust be safety conscious and able to work efficiently in a busy, close quartered environmentAbility to safely handle hazardous chemicals in accordance with strict safety protocolsMechanically minded- ability to troubleshoot and solve problems with equipmentOrganized with great attention to detailAbility to work in a well-coordinated team settingAbility to frequently lift up to 60 lbs and slide 160 lb kegs throughout the course of a workdayAbility to stand for a prolonged period of timeBenefitsMedical, dental and vision benefits with no wait periodShort term disability and life insurance401k plan with generous match with no wait periodTenure Bonus EligiblePaid time offEducational Reimbursement ProgramMBTA Pass discountPPE ReimbursementTrillium Comp CardTrillium discountsPhilanthropy programEmployee gym
