Medical Billing Specialist

To enhance patient accounting processes, the full-time Patient Accounting Denials Specialist will manage denial follow-up activities, submit appeals and corrected claims, and provide necessary documentation to insurance companies while working remotely from New Mexico. Key responsibilities Perform denial follow-up activities for assigned payors utilizing work queues Submit corrected claims and appeals to overturn denials Document accounts in accordance with established policies and procedures Required qualifications High school degree or GED required, with short-term training in insurance collections and claims processing Minimum of two years of experience in insurance follow-up, billing, and collections Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively via telephone and in writing Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team environment Ability to prioritize and manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment
