The Stow Company is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Facilities Maintenance Tech located in Holland, MI or Nampa, ID. We are the country's premier source for custom closets and organizational solutions; designed, custom-cut, and shipped directly to our clients.

Primary Purpose of Position:

This position maintains proper preventative maintenance on facilities related equipment, grounds and building components. Perform minor maintenance and or installation. Coordinate with external vendors when required.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Performs preventative maintenance on facilities related equipment and grounds. This would include but not be limited to weeding, trimming or general cleanup of scrap and dust collection areas.
• Installs, maintains, and performs minor repairs of physical structures, pipe and electrical systems in plant, warehouse and office facilities using hand tools, power tools, forklift, measuring and testing instruments
• Identifies, coordinates, and assists external vender PMS and service visits when needed.
• Utilizes basic machining tools, powered hand tools, and other maintenance-related equipment which can include metal working and fabrication, electrical, plumbing, woodworking, and cleaning equipment.
• Assists maintenance admin with tool crib responsibilities and duties as needed.
• Participates in problem-solving initiatives, Kaizen events, and lean manufacturing activities

• Requires regular attendance to perform essential elements as contained herein between the assigned start and end times for work.

The Stow Company may temporarily assign any team member with duties outside of their normal responsibilities. Such assignments may be warranted due to a variety of specific requirements, conditions and/or the capabilities of available personnel. Management will determine the nature and duration of those assignments.

Basic Qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Certifications/Licenses/Registrations:

• Able to qualify/operate Hilo and Aerial lifts

Knowledge / Skills/Abilities:

• Exhibit strong attention to detail
• Adheres to all safety requirements
• Familiarity with OSHA standards for dust accumulation and other relevant safety guidelines
• Troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of lean, six sigma practices
• Interpersonal skills in order to work effectively with individuals both internally and externally to The Stow Company
• Must have excellent customer service skills; including strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must have the ability to interface with all levels of personnel in an office and a manufacturing environment
• Ability to take the initiative and work well independently with little supervision, and as part of a team

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

• Able to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, etc.
• Able to perform full range of body movements, such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
• Able to perform activities requiring repetitive motions
• Able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds
• Able to tolerate an environment where sawdust particles are present
• Sitting at workstation approximately 5 percent of work time
• Standing and walking approximately 95 percent of work time
• Must be able to travel between plant and office locations
• Ability to work overtime or occasionally on weekends with short notice
• Manufacturing environment with multiple machinery and moving parts, narrow aisles and passageways

Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm
