The addition of a new shift creates more opportunities for career growth.Schedules: FT positions available on both our 2A and 2B shifts. These shifts work 3 days/week with 4 days off. Perfect for those wanting to restructure non-work hours or minimize commutes.Shift 2A: Sundays through Tuesdays (3:30 pm - 4:00 am)Shift 2B: Wednesdays through Fridays (3:30 pm - 4:00 am)Pay & extras: Starts at $17.05 entry level (includes 10% shift differential). We also have a generous PTO plan and many other benefits.Job DescriptionOur associates are responsible for performing a variety of duties, depending on their assigned department and lab needs. Production Lab Techs help expedite job orders throughout the manufacturing process in a timely and efficient manner in order to serve our customers.Responsibilities involve observing data on job orders, sorting and organizing job orders, RF scanning and other department specific tasks.We have production positions available in multiple departments.Surface tech duties include:Backside coating - making sure lens is clean, spraying, wiping lens and loading in machineBlocking and Deblocking, block prepMachine operation, taping, generating, polishingLens washing - removing lens from block, rinsing, washing and drying lens to remove debrisAR tech duties include:Sorting lenses, cleaning and inspecting for imperfectionsClean dirty rings in ultrasonic cleaner and rinsingSandblasting sectors and panelsLoading lenses into sectors and placing in machinesRemoving sectors, download lenses back to matching trays, visually inspectingOperating and cleaning AR coating machineFinish tech duties include:Sorting trays, edging, bevelingTinting - placing lens in holder and tinting to specified colorMounting - inserting lenses into various frames, clean, visually inspectFinal inspection - check lens for defects, correct power, axis, prism and compliance with ANSI standardsShipping - scanning, bagging, sorting and preparing customer orders for shippingQualificationsNo specific education requiredNo specific experience required for entry level but prior mass production, machine operation, or assembly experience is preferredPrior related or optical experience is desirableMust be able to read and write EnglishAdditional InformationNational Vision offers a competitive benefits package.
