Psychologist (Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Professor) Responsibilities Provide comprehensive psychological assessments and evidence-based treatment for adults with psychiatric diagnoses, including those with forensic involvement. Collaborate with psychiatrists, clinical social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Supervise and mentor WVU Psychiatry residents, forensic fellows, and trainees from other disciplines. Support the hospital’s commitment to quality care for involuntarily committed patients, fostering recovery and rehabilitation. Qualifications PhD or PsyD degree in clinical psychology (or foreign equivalent) and eligibility for a West Virginia state psychology license. Completed an APA/CPA accredited clinical psychology graduate program and internship. Eligible to sit for ABPP in clinical psychology. Immediate eligibility for licensure in West Virginia required. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment. Location and Setting William R. Sharpe, Jr. Hospital – 936 Sharpe Hospital Road, Weston, WV.
