Job Overview:

We are seeking a Fuel Distribution Systems Operator with at least 1 year of experience to manage and maintain aviation, diesel, and mogas fuels at a fuel farm in Kismayo, Somalia. The ideal candidate will ensure the safe and efficient operation of fuel storage, distribution, and maintenance processes, while adhering to regulatory and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fuel Monitoring & Maintenance: Monitor and maintain aviation, diesel, and mogas fuels in the fuel farm's tanks. Perform usage calculations, initiate service orders, and determine the required fuel amounts for tank filling.
• Logistics Operations: Conduct routine logistical functions, including preparing receiving and shipping documents. Gauge tanks for water, temperature, and fuel levels to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
• Inspections & Analysis: Perform fuel inspections, sampling, and analysis in accordance with all applicable policies and procedures to ensure fuel quality and operational standards are met.
• System Operations: Operate and maintain an automated fuel management system and integrated fuel laboratory related to bulk fuel operations. Use a government AIS for accountability, issuing of fuels, and information management.
• Preventive Maintenance & Repairs: Carry out preventive maintenance and repairs on fuel terminal systems. You may also be tasked with operating and maintaining retail or seaport fuel systems as required.
• Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to AR 710-2, AR 735-5, MIL STD 3004-C, APT 4-43, and DA PAM 710-2-1 standards, ensuring compliance with all safety and operational protocols.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of relevant experience in fuel distribution or a similar field.
• Knowledge of fuel quality control procedures and regulations.
