Description

LCSWMA is looking for a Full Time FIRST SHIFT Equipment Operator for our Transfer Station Complex.

Our Equipment Operator work Monday through Friday and a rotation of Saturdays. We offer a robust benefits package including PTO beginning on Day 1 of Employment!

The Equipment Operator role is responsible for the safe operation of heavy equipment in support of daily site operations.

All work must be performed in accordance with LCSWMA's Environmental Management System (EMS) policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.

LCSWMA employees are required to follow all LCSWMA safety policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate equipment while working near customers, employees and other vehicles.
Dispose of waste using approved methods by LCSWMA and PADEP.
Ensure that pay loads for LCSWMA trucks are at maximum capacity.
Minimize drivers on site times; focusing on efficient load times.
Perform daily equipment maintenance, which includes completing preventive maintenance report, greasing, fluid levels, blowing out radiator, and machine interior cleanliness.
Be available to assist in other capacities: as qualified and assigned, to maintain the facility operation as directed by the Site Supervisor.

Requirements

Education, Training, Certification or Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
Minimum 1 year of experience operating equipment required.
Must be at least age 18.
Understand PA DEP Rules and Regulations regarding waste disposal.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

The position is categorized as a Safety Sensitive Position and as such, employees are required to follow all related safety policies and procedures.
Most LCSWMA machines have climate-controlled cabs, however there are times when you will be required to operate machines without enclosed cabs or functioning air conditioning or heaters. Work is performed in all weather conditions.
Sit and stand for extended periods of time.
Lift up to 75 pounds and carry for a distance of 50 feet.
