About the Position

Travel L&D RN is needed to start in a facility in Illinois. IL license is required. 1 year of recent L&D experience is required. ACLS, BLS, AWHONN, and NRP certifications are required. Float into Mother/Baby and Postpartum may be required. Patient ratio: 2:1 during labor; 1:1 for delivery or C-S Fetal Monitoring, IV Magnesium, C-Section, Circulator/Recover; 2:1 Epidurals, IV Pitocin. Average births per month: 200. Implements, coordinates and delivers care to assigned patient population. Maintains the standards of professional nursing. Provides Leadership and supervision to CNA/SNA, LPN or other health care workers as assigned. The L&D RN cares for women during labor and childbirth, monitors the baby and the mother, coaches mothers, and assists doctors. The RN will prepare women and their families for the stages of giving birth and will help patients with breastfeeding after the baby is born.
