Senior Manager, Outbound Value Stream

Azenta

Azenta seeks a Senior Manager for its Outbound Value Stream to lead end-to-end biorepository operations including retrieval, verification, shipping, and logistics. The role requires strategic oversight of safety, quality, delivery, and productivity while driving continuous improvement and developing operational teams across a global life sciences organization.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end performance of outbound operations including retrieval, verification, discards, shipping, and logistics
Develop and execute 12–24 month value stream strategy aligned with customer demand and business objectives
Lead daily management, standard work development, and continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate waste and improve flow
Manage outbound value stream KPIs including quality, delivery, productivity, turnaround time, and cost performance
Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, leads, and frontline employees while supporting hiring and succession planning

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or Business
15+ years progressive operations leadership experience, or equivalent with 5+ years as Value Stream Manager
7+ years in distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain operations leadership
Experience with lean methodologies, continuous improvement, and daily management systems
Demonstrated ability to develop people and build high-performing teams
Strong data analytics and financial acumen for KPI management and business planning
