Medical Science Liaison - Oncology - NY Territory: Long Island, Upstate NY and one institution in NYC. What You Will Do This field‑based position is within the Scientific Affairs organization’s Oncology Therapeutic Area Medical Science Liaison (MSL) group. In this vital role, you will: Communicate complex, cutting‑edge scientific information and research concepts to healthcare decision‑makers, including those at academic medical centers. Provide clinical and economic value information to payers and formulary decision‑makers. Identify and train members of Amgen’s speakers’ bureau and ensure they are updated on new data. Respond to investigator‑sponsored research proposal requests and support Amgen‑sponsored research. Provide insights based on field interactions with healthcare thought leaders to Amgen partners. Provide scientific support, consistent with MSL compliance standards, for commercial, corporate accounts, and other matrix colleagues who may forward HCP inquiries. Build scientific relationships between Amgen and fellows in training. Lead and/or participate on committees or project teams that support MSL strategies and tactics as delegated by MSL leadership. Seek opportunities to support the MSL value proposition, achieve results, and set an example for others to follow by consistently demonstrating Amgen Values and Leadership Attributes. Demonstrate tact and professionalism in all communications and interactions. Exemplify transparency and innovation through words, actions, and decisions. What We Expect Of You We seek a versatile professional who collaborates effectively with cross‑functional teams and demonstrates strong scientific communication skills. Basic Qualifications Doctorate degree OR Master’s degree and at least 3 years of Medical Affairs experience OR Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of Medical Affairs experience Preferred Qualifications Pharm. D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O. (Other doctoral degrees considered) 3+ years of experience in a medically related field, including 1+ year focused on clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research (post‑doctoral training, residencies, and/or fellowships acceptable) Current experience in Scientific Affairs or Medical Affairs at a biotech or pharmaceutical company Oncology therapeutic area expertise What You Can Expect From Us Amgen offers a comprehensive Total Rewards Plan that includes base salary, a variable performance‑based bonus, stock‑based long‑term incentives, and a robust benefits package.
