Technical Sales Specialist - Inorganic Spectroscopy [ICP-OES & ICP-MS]

Technical sales specialist role focused on selling ICP-OES and ICP-MS instrumentation solutions across Western United States and Western Canada. Combines deep technical expertise in inorganic spectroscopy with commercial acumen to identify customer needs, support account managers, and drive revenue growth in the chromatography and mass spectrometry portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Identify and prioritize new client opportunities and sales potential for ICP-OES and ICP-MS product lines
- Support account managers in uncovering opportunities and providing technical expertise during sales execution
- Consult with customers on analytical challenges including method development, optimization, and workflow efficiency
- Maintain technical knowledge of assigned product lines and provide training to country sales teams
- Partner with field application, lab application, and technical specialists to advance customer solutions
Requirements
- 5+ years analytical instrumentation experience: technical sales, applications, laboratory, or customer-facing roles
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, environmental science, or related scientific field
- Hands-on experience with ICP-OES and/or ICP-MS instrumentation and applications
- Strong technical knowledge of ICP systems including sample introduction, plasma generation, and detection
- Ability to lift 40 lbs without assistance
- Demonstrated capability to engage scientists in detailed technical discussions and method development consulting
