Cornerstone Building Brands has an opportunity for a Technical Sales Representative to support and grow Hypersteel® Cold Form Buildings. This position is functioning as a liaison between sales and customers for design support, software troubleshooting, and assisting with engineering-related order changes. It supports both the sales function during the sales process, and then the technical function of navigating the software for product updates and enhancements. At times, deployment to customers' location or tradeshows for on-siteThis role is ideal for someone with a strong technical mindset for process and products, excellent communication skills, and experience within the metal building, roofing, wall panel, or broader construction products industry. The right candidate will be comfortable discussing technical details, educating customers on products and technology solutions, and helping customers successfully bring projects to market.ResponsibilitiesDevelop relationships with builders, dealers, distributors, architects, developers, general contractors, and other key industry partnersSupport multiple sales channels including direct retail, distribution, dealer networks, and turnkey building providersWork across a brand-agnostic environment, supporting multiple product lines and routes to marketTrain customers on the technology platforms, product and process details to support them through the sales and building processOversee video training and product manuals to discuss onsite challenges and issuesHelp customers understand metal building systems, product applications, and installation processesIdentify and develop new business opportunities across various customer segments and marketsCollaborate with internal teams including customer service, operations, engineering, and sales leadership to support customer and project successAssist customers with navigating systems, processes, project coordination, and product selectionSupport business development initiatives focused on expanding adoption of light gauge steel building solutionsProvide a high level of customer service while helping resolve issues and appropriately manage customer expectationsBuild credibility with customers through strong communication, product knowledge, responsiveness, and relationship managementVisit job sites for key first time customers and installers to validate proper inventory management, structural compliance, and execution of correct installation proceduresQualificationsBachelor's degree with 3 years equivalent experience in the Construction Industry2 years of steel building design and/or erection experienceTrack record of developing a deep understanding of customer and market needsSelf-starter with ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and work independentlyProficient with MS Office Suite, CRM, and other ERP order softwaresStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong organizational and time management skillAbility to travel up to 50%Occasional lifting of product samples, literature, or training materials up to 25 lbsProactive team thinker and customer-centricAdditional InformationThe US base salary range for this full-time position is $85,000 - $95,000 + bonus + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
