Assistant Director of Nursing / Infection Preventionist / RN (ADON/IP)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated RN (Registered Nurse) for the role of Assistant Director of Nursing / Infection Preventionist (ADON/IP) to join our team at Overland Park Respiratory & Rehab Center. As a key member of our leadership team, you will collaborate with the Director of Nursing to maintain a high level of clinical excellence and ensure the overall well-being of our patients. Responsibilities:

• Assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing the daily operations of our facility, ensuring that all nursing staff are providing high-quality patient care

• Lead Infection Prevention initiatives, developing and implementing strategies (including education) to prevent and control the spread of infections

• Conduct routine surveillance and monitoring of patient populations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing evidence-based practices

• Collaborate with other departments, including quality improvement, education, and administration, to ensure seamless integration of infection prevention initiatives

• Maintain regulatory compliance, ensuring that our facility meets or exceeds all relevant accreditation and regulatory standards

Requirements:

• Active RN license

• Experience in an Infection Prevention role is preferred and a willingness to obtain specialized training and certification

• Skilled in tracheostomy and ventilator care; or willingness to learn

• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams
