Associate Attorney | Personal Injury | Remote Opportunity

Must be Licensed to practice law in Florida and be able to come to our Miami office when necessaryPosition OverviewWe are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with 2-6 years of experience to join our team, primarily supporting personal injury matters. This role is ideal for an attorney looking to develop sophisticated plaintiff-side litigation skills while managing cases through the pre-suit and litigation phases. The successful candidate will work closely with senior attorneys on case strategy, client counseling, negotiations, discovery, and motion practice, while gaining exposure to medical malpractice and Admiralty & Maritime matters as opportunities arise.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a portfolio of personal injury matters through various stages of pre-suit investigation and litigation.Conduct case evaluations, analyze liability and damages issues, and assist in developing case strategy.Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, discovery requests and responses, demand packages, and settlement communications.Review and analyze medical records, expert materials, and case-related documentation to support claims and litigation strategy.Participate in depositions, mediations, settlement conferences, and other dispute-resolution proceedings under the guidance of senior attorneys.Communicate regularly with clients regarding case developments, litigation strategy, and expected timelines.Collaborate with paralegals, investigators, medical experts, and other consultants to gather evidence and support case development.Conduct legal research and stay current on relevant statutory, regulatory, and case law developments.Assist with negotiation efforts involving opposing counsel, insurance carriers, and other parties.Maintain organized case files, track deadlines, and ensure compliance with court rules, ethical obligations, and firm procedures.Support matters involving medical malpractice and Admiralty & Maritime law, as needed, while working alongside experienced practitioners.Qualifications2+ years of experience in personal injury, insurance defense, civil litigation, medical malpractice, or a related practice area.Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation-related documents.Exposure to depositions, mediations, and motion practice; first-chair trial experience is not required.Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills, with proficiency in Westlaw, LexisNexis, and case management platforms.Ability to evaluate medical records, damages documentation, and other case materials.Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.Strong interpersonal and client-service skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, experts, and opposing counsel.Interest in developing expertise in medical malpractice and Admiralty & Maritime law is a plus.Ability to travel periodically for client meetings, mediations, depositions, and court appearances as needed.Ability to attend the Miami office when business needs require.
