Our client, a leader in the elevator industry, is seeking an Industrial Sales Representative to develop new business and expand existing customer relationships throughout the Knoxville territory. You'll manage opportunities from prospecting and site visits through proposals, contract execution, and project handoff.

This position offers strong earning potential and a mix of office time, customer meetings, and active job site visits. Elevator industry experience is not required, and industry-specific training is provided. Successful candidates may come from industrial sales, technical sales, HVAC, fire protection, security, building automation, commercial construction, or other project-based sales environments.

What You'll Own:

• Build Customer Relationships: Develop and maintain partnerships with building owners, property managers, consultants, architects, contractors, and other key decision-makers.
• Manage the Sales Process: Lead opportunities from prospecting and site visits through proposals, presentations, negotiation, contract execution, and follow-up.
• Grow Modernization Business: Identify elevator modernization and upgrade opportunities within existing and prospective accounts to drive territory growth.
• Develop Modernization Solutions: Conduct site visits, assess project requirements, and partner with internal teams to prepare bids, estimates, pricing, and modernization recommendations.
• Support Project Execution: Collaborate with operations and project teams to ensure smooth handoffs, clear customer expectations, and successful project completion.
• Stay Current & Informed: Maintain knowledge of modernization products, technical solutions, market trends, and competitive activity to support customer recommendations.
• Manage Territory Activity: Maintain accurate CRM activity, sales forecasts, customer follow-up, and visibility into upcoming opportunities.

What You'll Bring to the Team:

• Sales Experience: Demonstrated success in B2B sales, outside sales, business development, account management, technical sales, or consultative selling.
• Business Development & Customer Strategy: Experience building relationships, identifying customer needs, developing opportunities, and moving deals through the sales cycle.
• Technical & Project Understanding: Strong technical aptitude and the ability to learn complex products, understand project requirements, and communicate solutions to customers. Experience reading blueprints or architectural drawings is a plus.
• Organization & Sales Execution: Ability to manage multiple opportunities, proposals, deadlines, and customer commitments while maintaining strong attention to detail and follow-through. Salesforce experience is a plus.
• Education & Industry Experience: Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required. Experience in industrial sales, HVAC, fire protection, security, building automation, commercial construction, or other technical sales environments is valued. Elevator industry experience is not required.

Location:

Knoxville, TN – Local travel required for customer meetings, site visits, and projects throughout the territory. This position includes a mix of office-based work and field sales activity. xuwmhxw
