The Role:


Birla Carbon is seeking a results-driven Regional Sales Manager to lead profitable growth across the Americas Specialty Materials business.

This role is responsible for managing strategic customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, expanding market share, and driving revenue growth across key specialty markets. The successful candidate will work closely with technical, product, supply chain, and operations teams to deliver customer-focused solutions and strengthen Birla Carbon's competitive position.

Key Responsibilities & Success Measures

• Drive profitable revenue, volume, margin, and market share growth across the Americas Specialty Materials business. 
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans that strengthen Birla Carbon's position in existing, emerging, and target markets. 
• Build, expand, and manage relationships with key customers, distributors, and strategic accounts to drive long-term commercial value and customer retention. 
• Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities that support sustainable business growth and competitive advantage.
• Lead commercial negotiations, pricing strategies, and contract management activities to maximize profitability and business performance. 
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline and deliver accurate forecasts and business insights through Salesforce CRM. 
• Partner with Technical Service, Product Management, R&D, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to deliver customer-focused solutions, support product commercialization, and accelerate market adoption. 
• Act as the voice of the customer by providing market, industry, and competitive intelligence that influences business strategy, product development, and growth initiatives. 
• Resolve customer challenges quickly and effectively while delivering an exceptional customer experience. 
• Represent Birla Carbon at customer meetings, industry events, and trade associations to strengthen market presence and identify new growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years progressive experience in B2B technical sales, account management or business development
• Proven track record of achieving revenue growth and profitability objectives
• Experience managing strategic customer relationships and negotiation skills
• Experience with carbon black, specialty chemicals is preferred
• Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science Degree
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Ability to communicate with Spanish-speaking customers is a plus
