Diesel Mechanic

Bryant's Truck & Trailer Repair

Job Description

We are a family owned repair shop seeking a Diesel Mechanic to service/repair heavy trucks, fleet vehicles, tractor-trailers, semi-trailers, and flatbed trailers in a dedicated repair shop environment. Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. role focuses on comprehensive diesel repairs and preventive maintenance, with occasional roadside service calls.

Responsibilities

Perform engine diagnostics using OEM diagnostic software, JPRO, scan tools, electronic service tools, and manual diagnostic procedures.
Complete preventive maintenance and safety inspections on diesel equipment.
Repair and replace brake systems, including brake chambers and related components.
Service transmissions and perform electrical troubleshooting.
Replace wheel seals, hubs, airbags, and other mechanical parts.
Document repairs and maintenance activities using technical and fleet maintenance systems.
Identify issues, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, and complete repairs accurately.

Required Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience in diesel mechanical repair.

Preferred Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience with diesel engine repair and engine diagnostics.
Knowledge of electrical systems, preventive maintenance, and brake systems.
Technical documentation experience.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
