Maintenance Lead Person, Garage, AM - Miami | Publix Super Markets, Inc.

This position involves performing a number of functions in the operation of the maintenance department, including assisting in the planning, scheduling, and execution of assignments, following up on scheduled assignments and completions, identifying and resolving problems, and responding to unplanned situations. Additionally, it includes performing a number of functions on a variety of equipment according to company policy, federal, state, and local regulations, repair manuals, factory specifications, blueprints, schematics, and personal knowledge of the equipment. The role also involves teaching and assisting other associates, and the responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive with additional responsibilities potentially assigned as needed.

Required qualifications include being at least 20 years old, having a valid driver's license and authorization to drive a company vehicle, having two years of fleet maintenance experience, being able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time, being able to lift a minimum of 65 pounds, and being able to read, write, and solve math problems. Candidates must also be able to interpret, understand, follow, and communicate instructions, read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals, successfully complete specific tests before starting the position, have mechanical and diagnostic knowledge of equipment, work independently with little or no supervision, generate and process work on a computerized maintenance-management system, supply and maintain hand tools to accomplish daily duties, work well with others and be a team member, show enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work, and show commitment to Publix's mission.

Preferred qualifications include being a current Miami Distribution associate.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm, and every third weekend from 6:00am to 2:30pm.

The work environment requires the ability to work in various weather conditions for an extended period of time.

Pay is weekly, with a minimum base pay of $33.60 and a maximum base pay of $46.35. Potential annual base pay ranges from $69,888 to $96,408. Additionally, there is a year-end bonus to reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year.

Other compensation information includes a $2.00 per hour weekend differential for hours worked between 12:00 a.m. Saturday through 11:59 p.m. Sunday.
