Restaurant Server

The Restaurant Server is responsible for providing outstanding food and beverage service to guests professionally, courteously, and efficiently. This role ensures a positive dining experience by maintaining Hilton's high standards of hospitality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction. A successful candidate will have a welcoming demeanor, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests as soon as possible when they arrive at the restaurant.
• Present menus, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations when appropriate.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
• Serve food and beverages efficiently, checking in with guests to make sure they're happy.
• Process payments accurately and promptly using the hotel's point-of-sale system.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of tables, service stations, and the dining area.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up tables, refilling condiments, and polishing glassware or silverware.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
• Handle guest concerns and special requests professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and Hilton brand standards.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a server in a hotel or upscale restaurant is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic cash handling.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to guest satisfaction.
• Flexible schedule, including availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training or coursework is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry trays or items weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
