Job Summary

The teacher aide works under the direction of the teacher and under the supervision of the Center Supervisor, assisting in the classroom in instruction, planning of classroom activities, and serves as a speech model for children.

Comments and Other Information

6.0 hours per day; 180-day work year, Freedom Elementary (1), Farmersville Jr. High School (2) -Salary Placement: All newly hired employees will be placed at Step 1 of the applicable salary range in accordance with the current CSEA Collective Bargaining Agreement. -Funding Notice: This position is funded through grant and/or restricted funds. Continued funding is reviewed periodically and may be subject to change. If funding is reduced, modified, or discontinued, the District may evaluate staffing needs and take appropriate action in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, Board policies, collective bargaining agreements, and employee status. This position may not be combined with other District positions due to budget constraints.
