Department Description:

The Internal Audit Department provides independent, professional audit coverage of ISO New England’s business and information technology processes. The team evaluates internal controls, governance, and risk management processes while performing company-wide risk assessments. Their work helps ensure that ISO operates efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with policies and regulations.

What You’ll be Working On:

As an Internal Auditor Intern, you will:

• Assist with internal audit fieldwork, including testing and evaluation of processes.
• Support SSAE-18 engagement testing and SOC-1 report review.
• Prepare audit workpapers to support internal audit opinions.
• Perform administrative tasks such as following up on outstanding audit issues.
• Work under the guidance of the Audit Manager, Principal Auditor, and Director of Internal Audit.

What We Look for in a Candidate:

• Completion of at least three years of college in auditing, accounting, or business administration.
• Minimum GPA of 3.2.
• Strong knowledge and experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and communication skills.

The expected hourly range for this position is $19-$36 per hour, depending on your year in college. Interns are eligible for some paid time off benefits and have access to our wellness program. Our internships also provide interns with exposure to the energy industry, mentorships, and real-world experience.

This is a U.S. based role. If the successful candidate resides outside of the U.S., relocation will be required.

To be eligible for an internship with ISO New England, a candidate must have completed at least the first year of college and be currently enrolled in a four year or graduate-level academic program. Candidates must have the authority to work in the US on a permanent basis, without requiring sponsorship.
