Maintenance Technician

Job Details Experience Level: Experienced Location: EWSO Midland Warehouse and Offices – Midland, TX 79706 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: Not Specified Travel Percentage: Up to 25% Job Shift: Day Position Overview Maintenance Technician. Department: Asset Integrity-Mechanical. Reports to Maintenance Supervisor. Full‑time, salary, non‑exempt. Essential Functions Performs inspection of all mechanical equipment returning to the field. Gauges fluids on all fracturing equipment. Prepares, maintains, and repairs pumping and support equipment. Works with Maintenance Supervisor to ensure parts are available for maintenance. Completes work orders and required paperwork to log and track maintenance per Maintenance Supervisor direction. Ensures good housekeeping standards at the in‑basin shop or test stand. Conducts oil sampling, post‑failure strategies, and root‑cause investigations. Follows all safety rules, standard operating procedures, best practices, and workplace instructions. Ensures best practices and SOPs are followed and updated, reflecting in‑basin work. Assists with testing equipment under shop responsibility. Performs other related duties as assigned to support operations and business continuity. Qualifications Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. At least 18 years of age. Passes all applicable general pre‑employment testing, including background checks, drug screening, fit tests, aptitude and/or competency assessments. Valid U.S. Driver’s License with acceptable Motor Vehicle Record per company policy. Must attend in‑person, predictable shifts. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, CMMS; Oracle preferred. Effective interpersonal skills (spoken and written communication). Education / Experience High school graduate preferred. Relevant industry experience required. Heavy Equipment Technician certification preferred; dual certifications preferred. Skills, Competencies, and Abilities Ability to make appropriate judgment calls and seek guidance when needed. Ability to make decisions in high‑pressure situations. Strong leadership and customer service skills. Mechanical knowledge of hydraulics components and circuits; ability to diagnose using schematics. Understanding of ISO standards for oil sampling and report reading. Ability to focus on root‑cause fact‑finding and identify failure trends. Ability to build and execute post‑failure strategies. Advanced diagnostics and repair of electrical circuits with aid of Electrical Department. Team‑oriented interpersonal communication skills, written and oral. Strong organizational skills to meet operational timelines. Proven ability to perform confidently, accurately, and thoroughly in a fast‑paced, detail‑oriented environment while supporting management decisions. Responsive and professional to Field Operations observations and recommendations on safety and maintenance issues. Physical Requirements / Work Environment The position requires walking, sitting, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, lifting, balancing, stooping, handling materials, and kneeling. Employees must regularly lift up to 49 pounds and occasionally 100 pounds with a team lift. Work occurs indoors/outdoors, frequently during inclement weather, and may involve exposure to hazardous materials. Personal protective equipment and safety policy must be strictly followed. Work hours may include early mornings, late afternoons/evenings, weekends, and may require extended out‑of‑town assignments for 2–3 weeks.
