Location: Midland, TX Amount of Travel Required: 30%


Work Schedule: Positions Supervised: Shop Mechanics

Monday Friday, 6 a.m.6 p.m.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician learns and performs tasks associated with maintenance and repair of fracturing equipment, while supervising shop mechanics and ensuring daily productivity.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "May.")

• Daily prepares activity logs and work assignments for shop mechanics, following through to ensure efficiency and completion.
• Utilizing Asset Manager, daily tracks and records equipment and serial numbers for accurate cost allocations.
• Performs inspection of all mechanical equipment returning for repair from the field.
• Daily communicates completion of repairs and parts used with warehouse team and Asset Integrity Manger.
• Regularly trains, mentors, and develops shop mechanics, providing performance feedback where needed.
• Assigns and manages repairs for all company fleet.
• Assigns, tracks, and rebuilds major components such as Cpumps, gear boxes, and plumbing
• Prepares, maintains, and repairs pumping and support equipment.
• Works with crews to ensure they have parts needed to complete maintenance.
• Conduct work observations of JSA safe work procedures and document them as they pertain to maintenance procedures.
• Complete work orders and other paperwork as required.
• Ensure good housekeeping standards are always met at the facility or test stand.
• Performs proper oil sampling, post failure strategies and root cause investigations.
• Conducts work in accordance with safety rules, standard operating procedures, and workplace instructions.
• Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Successfully passes background check and preemployment drug screening.
• Possesses a valid U.S. Driver's License.
• Daily predictable attendance.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL

• High School Diploma or GED. Technical college training in medium/heavy duty mechanical field preferred, but not required.
• 7 years of previous mechanical, oilfield experience.
• 2 years in a supervisory role required.
• Heavy Equipment Technician certification preferred but not required.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES

• Ability to attend, participate, and successfully complete the scheduled New Hire Safety training, including but not limited to H2S, Powered Industrial, and basic First Aid and CPR training.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to make decisions in high pressure situations.
• Strong leadership and customer service skills Mechanical knowledge of hydraulics components and circuits, ability to diagnose utilizing schematics.
• Fully knowledgeable, compliant and takes initiative to promote and work with digital platforms including Active Learner, Paycom, KPA, and other company mandated systems. For new hires, ability to quickly learn company platforms.
• Understanding of ISO standards regarding oil sampling and report reading
• Ability to focus on root cause fact finding and identify failure trends.
• Ability to build and execute on a post failure strategy.
• Ability to diagnose and repair electrical circuits with aid of Electrical Dept
• Strong ability to organize daily tasks and work within defined timelines to meet operational requirements.
• Proven ability to perform confidently, accurately, professionally, and thoroughly in a fastpaced detailoriented environment while supporting all management decisions.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR ADVANCEMENT: (Promotions may occur only after the following qualifications have been satisfied. Promotions are not guaranteed and are subject to availability of position openings.)

• Time in Position: 24 months
• Demonstrated ability to prove aptitude in technical skillsets.

Maintenance technicians work both in office and in a warehouse/shop environment that make them susceptible to common hazards such as physical strain, moving machinery, loading, unloading, falling objects, slips, trips, and falls. Daily required to walk, sit, climb, bend, reach and squat/kneel. When required to visit a wellsite, work environment includes exposure to hazardous materials, operating conditions, audio up to 85 dB and inclement weather. Given these conditions employees are required to wear company mandated and issued personal protective equipment (PPE) (fire retardant coveralls, safety hat, steeltoe boots, safety glasses, ear protection and safety gloves) and must strictly adhere to all safety policies. Maintenance technicians are regularly required to lift heavy objects; therefore, Maintenance technicians must be able to lift 49 lbs. independently, and 50100 lbs. with a team lift.

Work hours may include early morning, late evenings, and weekends, depending on job demands.
