Maintenance Technician

Additional assets and investments are located in South Texas, Utah, and Southwest Wyoming. We’re engaged in the business of gathering, compressing, treating, processing, and transporting natural gas; gathering, stabilizing and transporting condensate, natural gas liquids (NGLs) and crude oil; and gathering, transporting, recycling, treating and disposing of produced water for our customers. In our capacity as a natural gas processor, we also buy and sell natural gas, NGLs, and condensate on our behalf and our customers under certain gas processing contracts. Job Summary The successful candidate for this position is responsible for, overseeing contractors perform maintenance, facility upgrades, installation, of mechanical piping and equipment. Other responsibilities include ensuring our equipment is being installed up to company standards and is working correctly. Technicians also answer trouble calls and/or coordinate the correct contractor for the job to get the issue resolved. Filling in for Leads and field technicians to perform daily operations. Responsibilities Responsible for coordinating and supervising the work of all site operations. Ensuring that all work is delivered safely and on time. Managing equipment and materials required by company. Enforce all company safety and environmental policies while contributing to a ‘Safety First’ working culture. Oversee contractors perform maintenance, facility upgrades, installation, of mechanical piping and equipment. Filling in for Leads and field technicians to perform daily operations as needed. Effectively communicate and work well with other coworkers. Install, operate, troubleshoot & maintain pump equipment throughout the Delaware/Permian Basin according to company and industry standards. Understand water hydraulics and system gain/loss processes. Read schematics and must often refer to manufacturer specifications to disassemble and reassemble complex equipment and machinery. Utilize software to troubleshoot systems, read and program VFDs. Monitor SCADA systems or other control systems to determine potential problems with field instruments or hardware. Actively participate in additional training. Complete all paperwork accurately and efficiently. Other duties as assigned within the scope of the business. Submitting detailed daily reports and daily cost if applicable. Qualifications 4-6 years minimum of experience in oil/gas mechanical construction, pump operations or related experience with rotating equipment. Candidate must possess knowledge with computers and Microsoft Office applications. Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to work independently. Education High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Travel Requirements The percentage of travel required for this position is 0 - 10%. Work Schedule This position utilizes a 8/6 schedule that could require working overtime, weekends, and holidays. WES reserves the right to change employee’s schedule if it is required by operations.
