Expected pay for this position is $18.85-$21.21/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skill, and internal equity. This is an hourly position.

This position will float between various OSF office locations in Pontiac along with Chenoa, Cullom, Dwight, Fairbury, Flanagan and Minok. In recognition of the flexibility required for this role, the position is eligible for an additional $0.75 per hour above the base hourly rate. This differential will appear as a separate line item on your paycheck in addition to your regular base pay. Candidates should be comfortable traveling between assigned office locations and adapting to the needs of different teams and clinics.

Position Summary

Medical Office Assistants perform clinical and administrative duties consistent with Medical Assistant program education, training and experience. Works in both the clinical and front office functions of the practice providing clerical and assisting in the delivery of health care and patient care support activities. The Medical Office Assistant performs duties in accordance with the specific needs of the practice.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma/ GED
• Experience: Minimum of six months' experience with computer, Microsoft Office, and email.
• Minimum of 6 months' health care facility clinical experience.
• OR
• Clinical education (including evidence of current enrollment or completion of OSF Medical Group Prime Path Bridge Program
• OR
• Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program.
• Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Some knowledge of medical terminology.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience: Completion of a medical assistant program or equivalent.
• Minimum of six months' experience as a medical office assistant (MOA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent.
• Minimum of six months' experience with an electronic health record.
