Environmental Project Manager

As an Environmental Project Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing multiple projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are executed efficiently, safely, and within budget. Responsibilities

• Manage assigned environmental projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and invoicing.
• Develop and implement project budgets, tracking labor hours and expenses as required.
• Supervise and mentor project personnel, providing guidance and support throughout project phases.
• Maintain positive client relationships through regular communication and meetings.
• Prepare bids, proposals, work plans, and statements of work, seeking necessary approvals.
• Ensure all contract documents are in place before project initiation.
• Identify and coordinate internal and external resources needed for project completion.
• Perform field work as required, including travel and overnight stays to project sites.
• Compile and process project data, including daily logs, field data sheets, and billing entries.
• Prepare reports and documentation to meet client, contract, and regulatory requirements.
• Create and follow up on invoices to ensure timely payment.
• Stay current with relevant regulatory agency requirements and industry best practices.
• Promote and ensure health and safety compliance for all project activities.
• Assist in business development by seeking and developing relationships with prospective clients.
• Support operational leadership by providing input on hiring, training, and staff development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in a related field.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in environmental consulting or a related field.
• Prior project management experience, preferably 3-5 years.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, team members, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Ability to mentor and train staff, and work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks such as walking, bending, stooping, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to travel to remote job sites and work extended hours as needed.
• Commitment to safety, organization, problem-solving, and results-driven project management.
• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in significant matters.
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ability to communicate professionally in English.
