Electrical Estimator Location: Lenexa, KS 66215 (Kansas City Metro Area) Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000 + Bonus based on experience Join a Growing Commercial Construction Team A well‑established and growing commercial electrical contractor is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join its preconstruction team. This position offers the opportunity to work on high‑profile commercial construction projects while playing a critical role in securing and supporting successful project execution. The ideal candidate will have experience estimating commercial electrical projects, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project management, operations, vendors, and clients. Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial electrical construction projects including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs Review project drawings, specifications, bid documents, and scope requirements Perform quantity takeoffs and scope analysis Solicit, evaluate, and compare supplier and subcontractor pricing Develop accurate and competitive bid proposals Identify project risks, assumptions, and clarifications during the estimating process Assist with budgeting, conceptual estimating, and value engineering initiatives Maintain historical cost data and estimating databases Collaborate with project managers and operations teams to ensure smooth project handoff after award Support preconstruction activities and client pricing requests Qualifications 2+ years of Electrical Estimating experience within commercial construction Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems, materials, and installation methods Experience reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and bid packages Ability to perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analysis Strong understanding of labor productivity and material pricing Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Experience with Trimble Accubid, Accubid Anywhere, LiveCount, Bluebeam, or similar estimating software preferred Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred, but equivalent industry experience will be considered Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills Preferred Experience Commercial office buildings Educational institutions Healthcare facilities Industrial and manufacturing environments Distribution and warehouse facilities Design‑build projects Municipal projects Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary: $80,000 - $100,000 Performance‑based bonus opportunities Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage Retirement savings plan with company contribution Paid holidays and paid time off Career advancement opportunities Stable organization with a strong project backlog and long‑term growth plans MOHR Talent is an equal‑opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local nondiscrimination laws.
