I'm Ryan Jaiswal from Distinct Recruitment. I'm hiring a Litigation Attorney in Boca Raton for an insurance defense firm with a busy auto defense practice. The firm's view is simple: if you can prepare a deposition, you can take it.

What your weeks look like

Monday might be strategy calls with adjusters on new files. Tuesday, a deposition of a plaintiff's treating chiropractor. Wednesday, drafting a motion for summary judgment on liability. Thursday, a mediation where you lead for the client. Friday, catching up on discovery and preparing a trial witness list. The mix changes, but the common thread is that you're doing the work rather than reviewing someone else's.

Responsibilities

• Defending auto liability claims from rear end collisions to multi vehicle and commercial vehicle cases

• Managing your own files from assignment through resolution

• Depositions, hearings and mediations handled by you

• Working with accident reconstruction and medical experts

• Trial preparation and trial work

• Clear, regular reporting to carrier clients

Requirements

• 2+ years of litigation experience

• Florida Bar admission

• Defense experience helpful, ideally with some auto work

• Comfort with volume and a habit of staying organized

The package

• Hybrid, with Boca Raton as your base

• 1,950 billable hours

• $125,000 to $200,000. The range is broad so that strong attorneys from mid level up to counsel level can all see themselves in it

Why auto defense is underrated

Auto cases get dismissed as routine by people who haven't tried one. In reality they're one of the best ways to learn trial work.
