Come Join Our Team! The Daughters of Charity, provides a safe, welcoming home for the retired Sisters of the Daughters of Charity Ministries. Our team plays a vital role in creating an environment where Sisters feel respected, through independent living, assisted living and memory care.

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Technician to support the daily upkeep and safety of our campus in Menands, NY. This role reports to the Facilities Director. We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented individual who takes pride in their work and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in facilities, or maintenance. Candidates must also possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

What You'll Do

• Perform general maintenance and basic repairs throughout the buildings, including minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry and painting work.
• Assist with monitoring the operation of HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems and equipment; troubleshoot issues and perform minor repairs as appropriate.
• Assist with and complete scheduled preventive maintenance of building systems, equipment and facilities.
• Perform grounds and landscape maintenance, including mowing, gardening, trimming, leaf removal and other seasonal upkeep.
• Perform snow and ice removal from porches, entrances, walkways and other designated areas, including application of ice melt as needed.
• Participate in the Facilities Department's on-call rotation.
• Work independently while also participating in team efforts to support departmental and organizational needs.
• Adapt positively and productively to changing priorities, maintenance needs and assignments.
• Maintain professionalism, discretion and confidentiality at all times.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, some weekends and holidays required

Physical Demands: Must be physically able to efficiently perform the duties of the position, which may involve the following: standing and walking over 2/3 of the day, lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing, bending, reaching, and stooping for 1/3 to 2/3 of the day.
