The School provides a didactic education to student pharmacists on Wingate University’s campus located in Wingate, NC. Fourth year students complete Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences in four regions throughout NC. More information about the School can be found on the website at**Position Summary**The Wingate University School of Pharmacy seeks a candidate with strong interest and ability in graduate level clinical and didactic teaching for a full-time, tenure track Assistant/Associate Professor appointment with a focus in inpatient pharmacy practice. Clinical responsibilities will include providing direct patient care services in an institutional setting in the Charlotte, NC area as well as providing educational in-services as needed to providers/staff at the site. Teaching responsibilities include precepting third- and fourth-year student pharmacists at the practice site as well as classroom and laboratory teaching a variety of clinical topics. Additional responsibilities include scholarship, academic service, professional/community service, and other duties as assigned.Candidates must be eligible for pharmacist licensure in North Carolina and obtain a pharmacist license in North Carolina within 3 months of hire. Academic rank and salary are dependent upon qualifications, previous teaching/precepting involvement, and research and scholarship accomplishments.**Duties****/Responsibilities*** Teach/co-teach doctoral courses in alignment with Wingate University School of Pharmacy policies and ACPE Standards* Provide direct patient care services in the inpatient setting* Precept third- and fourth-year student pharmacists* Participate in the delivery, maintenance, and/or optimization of the School of Pharmacy curriculum* Advise and mentor a diverse population of students* Conduct research leading to scholarship* Engage in service to the school, university, academy, profession, and community* Maintain regular, predictable attendance on campus and at practice site* Maintain consistent, high-quality communication with faculty, staff, and students* Adhere to general faculty guidelines as specified by Wingate University* Perform other job duties/responsibilities as assigned**Required Skills/Abilities:*** Proficiency in computer technology, including, but not limited to, learning and assessment management systems, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office* Ability to maintain consistent, clear communication with faculty, staff, and students* Ability and willingness to comply and collaboratively work towards the Wingate University mission, vision, and strategic roadmap* Ability to fulfill responsibilities outlined above* Ability to perform other job duties and responsibilities as needed**Education and Experience*** Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an ACPE accredited institution* Successful completion of Postgraduate Year 1 (PGY1) training or equivalent* Postgraduate Year 2 (PGY2) training or equivalent preferred* Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) certification preferred* Didactic and clinical teaching experience is highly desirable**Physical Requirements:*** Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer* Capacity to meet with colleagues, students, and community partners in various settings* Traveling to meet in-person with colleagues, students, and community partners**How to apply:**Please submit a letter of interest, current curriculum vita, and contact information for 3 references to Wingate Human Resources through Workday as well as in a singular .pdf file to Andy Woods, Interim Dean and Professor of Pharmacy at View email address on click.appcast.io search committee will begin its formal review of candidates immediately, and communication with viable candidates will occur on a rolling basis.In compliance with applicable law and University policies, Wingate University prohibits discrimination in its employment practices on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, genetic information, disability and veteran status and encourages qualified candidates across all group demographics to apply.
