Quality Supervisor

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Quality Supervisor. This role is based out of our South Milwaukee, WI location. The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you’ll do:The Quality Supervisor is responsible to review the daily in process metrics such as SCRAP, DPPMs, DMRs/QNs for internal and external supplier defects in the SMKE operations and ensure appropriate actions are implemented to protect internal and external customers. This position will also supervise the inspection team of the facility and the Quality Lab that includes FAI for new or legacy components making sure that the quality processes are executed effectively.Direct quality personnel and prioritize quality functions regarding quality issues elimination from the systemic and non-systemic point of view and keeping production requirements as a part of the resolution.Review daily in-process metrics to determine team priorities, this includes FAI inspection in the Quality Lab.Develop and implement corrective actions using 8D, 5 Why, A3 and lean tools to support initiatives around the reduction of internal & customer PPM, rework, scrap and FPY.Direct cross-functional teams to eliminate roadblocks and communication barriers that may affect quality and customer requirements.Understand and adhere to a quality system in conjunction with divisional procedures to ensure compliance with ISO standards, customer specific requirements, and all regulatory requirements.Interact with multidisciplinary resources on the problem-solving projects for product quality improvements and document the QRQC reports to customers as requiredSupport new product development from a Quality standpoint.Motivates and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and resultsEnsure the standardized EQMS processes for the quality management system are established, implemented, measured, and maintained within his designated departmentSupport to the PPAP approvals – Coordinate part samples for dimensional review and assembly trials in SMKE and work with the AMER/Electrical SQE team for overall PPAP approval.Manage ST notification responsiveness, containment, root cause determination, corrective action, and closure of quality issues.Manage interplant DMRs responsiveness, containment, root cause determination, corrective action, and closure of quality issuesParticipates on the Material Review Board as well as authority for Special Process MRR.Qualifications:Required (Basic) Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution is required.Minimum of five (5) years of experience in manufacturing or operations is requiredMinimum of two (2) years of experience in people management is required.No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of 50 miles of South Milwaukee, WI will be considered. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1, H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, 1-485 job profitability, etc.Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the futurePreferred Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.• Minimum of five 5 years’ experience in quality, manufacturing or engineering• Minimum of two 3 years’ experience developing and leading strategic quality, manufacturing or engineering projects• Knowledge of APQP (Pro-Launch), Lean Methodology, MSA, PFMEA, Excel, PowerPoint, 8D, Foundation GD&T• Up to 10% of travel domestically and internationally.• Well-developed computer skills to perform essential functions• Experience in using quality tools/methodologies (PPAP, APQP, MSA, PFEMA SPC, Auditing)• Experience managing problem solving tools (8D, A3, Fishbone analysis)• Foundations using statistical techniques (Pareto, R&R)• Ability to read manufacturing drawings • CQE Certification• Green Belt Certification. • ISO 9001 / TS 16949 / IATF 16949 Knowledge & Experience.Skills:Position Criteria:• A demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance and continuous improvement methods, approaches and tools, including strategic planning and project management.• Proven track record of leading and managing quality initiatives that have resulted in improved productivity and reducing cost of non-conformance in a manufacturing setting.• Expertise with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Project Management, Organizational change management, Quality Management System standards (i.e. ISO/TS 16949:2002, etc.)• Interpersonal communication skills and leadership development abilityWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
