CAD Drafter

Job Description Provide drafting and design support for the development and update of facility as‑built drawings. Create, modify, and maintain technical drawings using Computer‑Aided Design (CAD) tools and manual drafting methods as required. Ensure all engineering drawings comply with Federal standards and documentation requirements. Translate field survey data, engineering notes, and design specifications into accurate technical drawings and documentation. Maintain drawing libraries and ensure version control and configuration management of engineering documentation. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and field personnel to incorporate design updates and revisions. Review and verify drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable standards. Identify discrepancies or potential design issues and recommend corrections. Support engineering teams during project design, installation planning, and documentation updates. Experience developing technical drawings using CAD tools in engineering, architecture, telecommunications, or infrastructure environments. Strong proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD preferred). Experience with 3D modeling and Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools. Attention to Detail: Ability to produce precise technical drawings and identify discrepancies or errors in engineering documentation. Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with engineering, architectural, or manufacturing terminology, symbols, and standards. Experience supporting federal infrastructure programs. Knowledge of facility engineering documentation and as‑built drawing standards. Professional certifications such as: Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP); Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA).
