Deputy Chief Medical Examiner – a high‑skilled forensic pathologist who will lead the Utah Office of the Medical Examiner. The role emphasizes public health, justice, and professional growth. Key Responsibilities Mentorship and Training: Support and train medical students and fellowship candidates. Team Leadership: Provide supervision and development for dedicated staff. Strategic Input: Contribute to division leadership responsibilities, policy input, and development that shapes forensic medicine in Utah. Qualifications Current unlimited license to practice medicine in Utah or ability to obtain prior to employment. Board certified forensic pathologist by the American Board of Pathology. Board certified in anatomic pathology or anatomic/clinical pathology by the American Board of Pathology. Two years of full‑time forensic pathology experience. Physical Requirements Stand, walk over rough surfaces, bend, crouch, stoop, stretch, reach, and lift moderately heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) repeatedly or for long periods. Working Conditions Risks requiring special safety precautions and/or equipment, such as working around operating machines, with contagious diseases, or hazardous chemicals.
