They are responsible for repairing, modification, and rebuilding of all laundry system equipment. Laundry System Mechanics must have strong working knowledge of electrical and electronic laundry devices and along with troubleshooting the equipment. The field service position may include work from elevated platforms and confined spaces throughout the Walt Disney World Parks and Resort property.Responsibilities:Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of laundry systemsUse a variety of testing equipment for troubleshooting of equipment and systems to the board levelRebuild pumps, valves, and regulatorsThis position requires a one-year minimum commitmentCast members may be required to handle cleaning chemicals and suppliesAdditional Personal Protective Equipment (face shields, goggles, refillable hand sanitizers, etc.) may be requiredBasic Qualifications:Minimum of 4 years' experience in the electrical fieldMust understand steam and hot oil thermal systemsProficient in troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and pneumatic controlsExperience with PLCs, relay logic and ladder logicAbility to pass a technical proficiency testThe ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematicsCapable of performing fault isolation and repair failed systemsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsExcellent written and interpersonal communication skillsProficiency in standard office software programs and mobile electronic devicesPreferred Qualifications:Journeyman licenseAdditional Information:At Walt Disney World, we are makers and doers!
